TRASH
the whole concept of "trash" is weird if you think about it. the act of "throwing something out/away" implies that it just goes into some kind of convenient void which is none of our concern.
trash is meant to be overlooked. it's easy to overlook because usually trash is not something we want to look at for longer than absolutely necessary.
to me many pieces of trash have a visual, haptic or other quality that make them impossible to consider them just trash...
what if "trash" as a category or even as a word simply didn't exist?
what if you had to keep everything and figure out the next steps
yourself
with your community?
that we generate trash is of course directly necessitated by the kinds of products available to us.
what if companies, in the first place, couldn't even bring a product to market which will inevitably lead to trash?

it's an amazing technology. but imagine telling anyone from 1000, 500, 200 years ago who wraps their bread in a piece of cloth and drinks water from a clay mug or leather bag that we have these items but they're essentially single use and we just throw them away (???)
